The Ministry of Health (MoH) is pleased to announce the official opening of the High-Level Dialogue on Health Financing at the Pyramid Continental Hotel in Juba on Thursday 20th  November, 2025.

 

This crucial two-day forum is a joint effort, organized by the Ministry of Health in close collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the World Bank. It comes at a pivotal time as the nation's health sector grapples with significant funding constraints, exacerbated by the ongoing global financial crisis.

 

In the opening address, a key emphasis was placed on the urgent need to address South Sudan's health financing challenges.

Increase Domestic Contributions: The dialogue will focus on strategies to significantly boost internal funding streams for the health sector.

Strengthen Sustainable Funding: Discussions aim to create resilient and long-term financing mechanisms to shield essential health services from economic shocks.

Ensure Universal Reach: The ultimate goal is to guarantee that vital health services are accessible to every community across South Sudan.

 

The message underscored that strengthening the health system is not just a government priority; it is a national responsibility we must all champion. This collaborative spirit is essential for building a healthier and more resilient future for the country.
