The National Minister of Health, Hon. Sarah Cleto Rial, held a productive meeting with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Representative and Country Director, Mrs. Mary Ellen McGroarty. The discussions centered on potential cooperation to tackle critical issues of nutrition and food security across South Sudan.
The core of the meeting focused on bolstering current nutrition programs and identifying innovative approaches to enhance access to nutritious food, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable women and children. Both parties acknowledged the vital role of strong partnerships between the WFP and the National Ministry of Health in the ongoing fight against child malnutrition and food insecurity.
