The pivotal conference is being held under the timely theme: "Surgical Practice in South Sudan: Current realities and Future Aspirations."

The conference’s core objective is to promote vital surgical policy and system integration. This concentrated effort is a crucial step forward for the nation, positioning it to develop a comprehensive National Surgical, Obstetric, and Anaesthesia Plan (NSOAP).
